Pro Feature

The Saved Searches Addon in the Motors plugin is a powerful tool designed to enhance user engagement. This feature allows visitors to save specific search queries and receive periodic email notifications whenever new items match their saved criteria. By enabling this addon, users stay updated in real-time about the latest posts that align with their preferences, fostering a more dynamic and personalized experience.

WP Dashboard > Motors > Pro Addons > Saved Searches

It provides two core functionalities:

  • It enables users to save their search criteria for quick access, eliminating the need to re-enter search parameters repeatedly.

  • It supports periodic email alerts, ensuring users are notified whenever new items match their saved preferences.

Users can select the several search filters on the Search Results (Inventory) page and click on the Save Search button to save it for future uses:

Users can check if any new listings match their saved searches right on this page:

Additionally, they will receive email updates about the new listing that matches their saved searches if the admin has enabled the email notification setting.

Saved Searches Settings

To reach the addon settings you can use the gear icon on the addons page or follow WP Dashboard > Motors > Search Filter > Saved Searches:

Send Email

The setting determines how frequently email alerts are sent to users with saved searches. Administrators can specify the frequency in days, ensuring that users receive timely updates about new items that match their saved criteria. For example, entering "3" will send notifications every three days.

To disable email notifications for users, leave the Send Email field blank.

Saved Searches Amount

This setting defines the maximum number of saved searches each user is allowed to store.

Adding Save Search Widget to the Page

  1. Edit the Search Results (Inventory) page with Elementor. Follow WP Dashboard > Pages > All Pages:

  1. Search for "Save Search" widget and add it to the place shown in the example then click on Publish:
