# Update Plugin

Sometimes, there will be regular updates on the product. When you found out there is a new updated version, you need to update the plugin.

Both **Free** and **Pro** versions follow the same steps in the plugin updating process.

There is no updated version of the **Motors VIN Decoder Free** plugin now since it is one of the new WordPress plugins with version 1.0.1.

So you will see how to update the **Motors VIN Decoder Pro** version. But as it is said above, the updating process for free and pro versions is the same. 

You can update the plugin in two different easy ways.

In a first way, go to **Plugins > Installed Plugins page,** there you will see the warning notification bar in the bottom. Press the link **update now** to update the plugin.

In a second way, go to **Dashboard > Updates**.

Among all updates on this page, scroll down up to Plugins and find a necessary plugin to update.

Click the checkbox of which plugin you want to update, then click on the **Update Plugins** button above.
