# Events

There is a custom post type to describe Events in your company. You can build a unique layout using the available Elementor and Custom Companion widgets.

So basically, you create an individual post describing each Event. To do that, you need to go to the **Events > Add new**.

While editing the **Events** on the backend, you can set featured image and edit Event Information:

The Event date and Event time should be set to display the Correct timer to show how much time is left before the event starts using [The Event Countdown widget](https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/companion-theme-documentation/companion-widgets/event-countdown).
