# Blockquote

The **Blockquote Widget** is **used to** embed fully styled quotes.

### Using Blockquote widget

Go to your site and start editing the page with Elementor.

### Step 1:

Select the **Blockquote** widget from the menu bar on the left-hand side of your screen then drag and drop it in the selected area.

### Step 2:

You will get a window with the basic setting options under the **Content** tab. It will give you three options add item content, manage icons, and show the author.

### Step 3:

Now, by clicking on the Style Tab you can customize typography, margin, and many more for Content, Top & Bottom icons, and Blockquote author. In the Typography section, you can align the content separately for different devices and customize the font styles:

You can change the top and bottom icons from the Icons Library. Next, you can set Margins, color, and set position. By selecting an absolute position you can align the icons more flexible:

In the Author section, you can set margins, edit Typography and align separately for different devices:

### Step 4:

If you want to add motion effects, background, or make the page responsive, click on ‘Advanced**’** to explore those options. This **‘Advanced’** tab is a default feature of Elementor. Finally, after completing all the customization click on ‘Publish’ to see your work live.
