# Accordion

The **Accordion** **Widget** is **used to display text in a collapsed, condensed manner**, letting you save space while still presenting an abundance of content. With the Accordion, visitors can scan the item titles, and choose to expand an item only if it is of interest.

### Using Accordion widget

Go to your site and start editing the page with Elementor.

### Step 1:

Select the **Accordion** widget from the menu bar on the left-hand side of your screen then drag and drop it in the selected area.

### Step 2:

You will get a window with the basic setting options under the **Content** tab. It will give you two options add items and set icons.

In **General settings**, you can add the title to the accordion items and add content to its body:

In the **Icon** section, you can choose open/close icons from the icons library and set the position for them. By clicking on each item you can modify the attributes of the widget:

Hit on the **Add items** to add/delete items.

### Step 3:

Now, by clicking on the Style Tab you can customize the text color, typography, margin, padding, border, size, and many more for Accordion Item, Accordion Title,  Accordion  Icon, and Accordion Content.

### Step 4:

If you want to add motion effects, background, or make the page responsive, click on ‘Advance&#x64;**’** to explore those options. This **‘Advanced’** tab is a default feature of Elementor. Finally, after completing all the customization click on ‘Publish’ to see your work live.
