# Elementor Footer Builder

The **Elementor Header & Footer Builder** plugin that stays under the **Elemtor Header Builder** option allows constructing headers and footers using Elementor Website Builder.

The custom footers can be created only after installing and activating the Elementor plugin and Elementor Header & Footer Builder add-on. The process of plugin installation can be found on the [Elementor Header Builder](/consulting-theme-documentation/blocks-and-sidebars/header-builder/elementor-header-builder.md) page of this manual. If you applied the custom header from the Elementor Header Builder, you have already installed the plugin.

The **Elementor Header & Footer Builder** section comes up on the **Dashboard > Appearance** path after successfully installing the plugins. Click the **Add New** button to add a new template.

Enter the name of the template and choose the **Footer** on the **Type of Template**.

The created footer will be displayed instead of the default theme footer only in case if in the **Type of Template** setting selected **Footer**.

More options appear after choosing the template's type.

* The **Display On** option specifies to which pages apply the changes
* The **User Roles** option specifies to which user roles apply the change

Click the **Publish** button to save the template.

By clicking the **Edit with Elementor** button, you will launch the Elementor plugin.

On the opening page, you can build your custom footer by dragging modules from the Elementor tab to the page.

The built-in modules are available to make a footer building process faster. These modules marked with the **HFB** prefix and located in the **Consulting** section.

After adding the necessary elements, click the **Update** button to see the applied footer on the website.
