PDF Entries

PDF Entries feature is available in the Pro version of the plugin and allows exporting the Total summary of calculations in a .pdf document. This feature allows sending calculated quotes in PDF format as an Invoice.

Enable PDF Entries for Calculators

The PDF Entries option can be enabled for all calculators globally in Cost Calculator Settings by toggling "Apply for all calculators" button:

After enabling PDF Entries Company details should be filled out including the Company name, info, and logo which appear in the .pdf document. Also, the Date format should be set to display the date of the order.

The default label "PDF Download" can be changed by custom text:

When the steps above are followed, the download button appears under the Total Summary:

​When the PDF download button is clicked the pop-up window appears on the desktop view with generated .pdf file:

There the PDF can be downloaded as a quote to review calculations or printed directly to send as an invoice.

To include contact information the Email should be enabled and configured.

PDF Entries with Contact form

When the Contact Form is enabled in Calculator settings, the PDF Download button will appear next to the Submit Form button and the customer will be able to check the details of the calculation before submitting the Contact form:

When PDF is downloaded before submitting the contact form .pdf document will not include the Contact details of the customer. It allows visitors carefully review the order after completing the calculations. The generated .pdf file can also be sent to your client for approval.

To include the Contact details of the Customer it is required to enable Show PDF Entries after making payment on Calculator general settings.

When Show PDF Entries after making payment enabled the PDF download button can be hidden until the Contact Form details are filled out. To do that, the "Show button only after making payment" option should be enabled in PDF Entries settings:

When the "Show button only after making payment" option is enabled PDF download button appears after submitting the form:

Contact Information of generated PDF displays the contact details of the customer:

PDF Entries with Payment Methods

By using PDF Entries with payment methods site administrator allows visitors to receive Receipts before making payment, or generate invoices after making payment.

Stripe, PayPal, or WooCommerce checkout should be enabled in calculator settings, to make the PDF Download button appear next to the Purchase button and the customer will be able to check the details of the calculation before making Payment:

When PDF is downloaded before making a payment .pdf document will not include the Payment details of the order, and will be generated as a receipt for the customer.

PDF Receipt for Stripe

To generate a PDF Receipt for Stripe, this payment method should be enabled in the Calculator settings. When the PDF Entries option is enabled in calculator settings, the PDF Download button will appear next to the Purchase button:

Website visitors can download the completed quote in PDF format to avoid loss or to make payment after reviewing other options. The downloaded PDF file will not include the payment detail of the customer.

To include the Payment details of the Customer it is required to enable Show PDF Entries after making payment on Calculator general settings.

If the Receipt is acceptable to the website visitor, payment can be made directly through Stripe:

After successful payment, the order details will be displayed and a pdf can be downloaded as an invoice as well.

When Show PDF Entries after making payment enabled the PDF download button can be hidden until the payment is made. To do that, the "Show button only after making payment" option should be enabled in PDF Entries settings:

This option works with the Stripe payment method only. The Details of other Payment methods will be displayed in the Orders section in of Cost calculator dashboard.

Contact Information of generated PDF displays the payment details of the customer:

PDF Receipt for PayPal

To generate a PDF Receipt for PayPal, this payment method should be enabled in the Calculator settings. When the PDF Entries option is enabled in calculator settings, the PDF Download button will appear next to the Purchase button:

Website visitors can download the completed quote in PDF format to avoid loss or to make payment after reviewing other options. The downloaded PDF receipt will not include the payment detail of the customer. If the Receipt is acceptable to the website visitor, payment can be made directly through PayPal:

After clicking the Purchase button, the user will be redirected to the PayPal checkout and a PDF invoice will not be generated for the customer on the Cost Calculator page after successful payment.

PDF Receipt with WooCommerce checkout

You can download the receipt with the download PDF button for WooCommerce checkout.

The order details will be also displayed on the cart or checkout page depending on WooCommerce checkout settings for Calculator. After making the successful payment WooCommerce will send an invoice to the customer by email.

PDF Entries with Orders

The site administrator can export orders as .pdf documents in the Orders section of the Cost Calculator dashboard:

By expanding order details, the displayed information can be exported to a .pdf document as well.
